For only $100 (a $150 value) Network
Chico will perform the following services
on your Windows computer.
Tasks:
- Run hardware diagnostics
- Run diagnostics on your Windows operating system
- Update operating system files with the latest patches, including
Service Pack 2 for Windows XP [if necessary]
- Scan for viruses
[Avast, Stinger, McAfee]
- Scan for and remove adware and spyware
[Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D]
- Adjust various settings for improved security
- Install and configure firewall
protection [if necessary]
- Install and configure anti-virus
protection [if necessary]
These tasks generally take about 3+ hours to perform depending
on the speed of the computer and size of the hard drive or drives.
Much of this process will be done using a preinstall environment,
meaning your computer will be booted from a cd-rom so that none
of your operating system files are in use. This allows for better
diagnosis of any possible problems than even booting into safe
mode.
