Have your new computer custom built
by Network Chico computer
and network consulting services.
You supply the parts and Network
Chico will put it together for you. The build can
be done at your location or off-site if you prefer.
Basic requirements:
- Computer case
- Power supply
- Motherboard
- Processor [Intel, AMD]
- Video display card
- Memory [RAM]
- Hard drive(s) [with proper cables and mounting hardware]
Optional components:
- Floppy drive(s)
- CD-ROM/DVD drive(s) [cd-r, cd-rw, dvd-r, dvd-rw, etc.]
- NIC (network interface card)
- Sound card
- USB card
- Firewire (IEEE-1394) card
- Video/audio capture card
- Modem (still using a modem?)
- Cooling equipment [such as additional fans]
- Memory card reader [SmartMedia, CompactFlash, etc.]
- SCSI card and drive(s)
- Tape or other backup device(s)
- RAID hardware
- Additional peripherals [printer, scanner, webcam, etc.]
- ???
Obviously some sort of operating system (Linux,
Windows) will be required to make
use of the hardware and Network Chico
can install this for you as well. Some sort of mouse, keyboard
and monitor will also likely be necessary.
