cookie handling can be greatly improved by taking the following
simple action. Open the Internet Options control panel
(via the Control Panel or from the Tools menu in Explorer) and
click on the Privacy tab. Under Settings click
Advanced. Check the box beside Override automatic cookie
handling. The select to Accept first-party cookies,
Block third-party cookies and check the box beside Always
allow session cookies. This should greatly reduce the number

Mozilla/Netscape Navigator 7: Choose Preferences
from the Edit menu. Under Privacy & Security
choose Cookies. From there you should choose to either
Enable cookies for the originating web site only (first-party
cookies) or better still choose the Enable cookies based on
privacy settings option and then click View to see
and adjust the privacy settings. The privacy settings offer quite
a bit of control over browser cookie handling.

it is acceptible to keep them until they expire. You can also
